Mail-tester offers a lot of information on what you can improve and how to do that. The best place to start is to follow the suggestions provided on the results page itself. Remember, that the score itself is just a general view dependent on many factors, which you can analyze below.
Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is a simple email-validation system designed to detect email spoofing by providing a mechanism to allow receiving mail exchangers to check that incoming mail from a domain comes from a host authorized by that domain's administrators. If your SPF record is not set correctly, you will find step-by-step guides on the mail-tester website. Just follow the SPF Guides link at the bottom of the page.
You’ll see that the tester found 1 image in your message body - that’s because our system adds small pixel tracking opens of every message you’re sending from Growbots. You may also see that the system found image without ALT attribute in your message body. The purpose of the ALT attribute is to inform about the contents of an image used in a website or email message, what is very helpful e.g. for people affected by some kind of visual impairment. By leaving the ALT attribute empty, we indicate that it’s function is purely technical.
NOTE: You can always turn off the open tracking pixel, however you won’t lose the metrics.
If your email address or domain is blacklisted, follow the links provided as the blacklist names to find information on how to get off them. Almost every Gmail user is listed on at least 3 blacklist - there’s nothing to worry about, nobody’s perfect, right?
